This Privacy Policy explains how DeepSwipe (“DeepSwipe”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the DeepSwipe mobile application on iOS, Android or Web.
We collect limited information necessary to operate and improve DeepSwipe, personalize the learning experience, provide features such as quizzes, progress tracking and leaderboards, send notifications, diagnose technical problems, and display and measure advertisements.
We collect information about how you use DeepSwipe. This may include the stories and other content you view, how long you view content, features you use, quiz questions you answer and whether answers are correct, stories and quizzes you have completed, and other interactions with the app.
We may use this information to maintain your viewing and quiz history, calculate XP and levels, operate leaderboards, understand how DeepSwipe is used, and personalize the content shown to you.
We associate this information with a pseudonymous internal user identifier so that your progress and preferences can persist. This identifier does not require you to provide your real name.
DeepSwipe allows users to choose a display name and participate in leaderboards.
Information such as your display name, XP, level, ranking, and certain profile information may be visible to other DeepSwipe users through leaderboards or profiles.
You should not include information in your display name that you do not want to be publicly visible.
We and our service providers may collect technical information necessary to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the app. This may include device type, operating system, app version, language, IP address, approximate location derived from information such as your IP address, crash information, diagnostic information, performance information, and device or app identifiers.
We may also store push-notification tokens and notification preferences when you enable notifications.
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in DeepSwipe.
Google and other advertising technology providers involved in serving an advertisement may collect or receive information such as your IP address, general location, device information, device or advertising identifiers, advertising data such as advertisements shown to you, interactions with advertisements, app interactions, and diagnostic or performance information.
